GATI programme is being undertaken in partnership with the British Council. GATI draws inspiration from ATHENA –SWAN (Scientific women academic network) gender equity charter and accreditation framework operated by advance higher education UK since 2005. The British Council facilitates collaboration between selected institutions under GATI with Athena SWAN accredited universities and research institutions in the UK. Six UK-Athena SWAN institutions have been selected by British council for partnership with selected Indian GATI pilot institutions. SCTIMST, Thiruvananthapuram is partnering with University of Manchester.
